Terms of service — ThirdLatent

Note: this is a plain-language document written by the founder, not by counsel, and it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It is meant to be read and understood rather than to be exhaustive.

ThirdLatent is a service operated by Wish Machine, Inc. In this document, “we”, “us” and “the company” mean Wish Machine, Inc. ThirdLatent is the name of the product. Wish Machine, Inc. is the party you contract with, and the name that appears on your receipt.

What this service is

ThirdLatent builds a relationship graph over public companies, the people attached to them, and the institutions that own them, and propagates real-world events across it. The underlying data comes from SEC regulatory filings (Form 4, DEF 14A, 13F, 10-K Item 1, and 20-F Item 4), Korea's DART business-description filings, a third-party vendor peer list (labelled as such in the data), and company investor-relations disclosures including press releases, earnings calls and webcasts. Wish Machine, Inc. provides data and tooling. It does not provide investment advice, and nothing delivered through this service is a recommendation to buy or sell any security.

Accuracy

Source documents are public and we link to them so you can check any claim yourself. Wish Machine, Inc. makes no warranty that the data is complete, current or free of error. Filings are amended, entities are resolved imperfectly, and coverage has boundaries — which we state on results rather than hide.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping API keys confidential and for activity under your account. Do not resell or redistribute bulk output without a written agreement with Wish Machine, Inc.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to violate securities law, to harass anyone, or to attempt to re-identify individuals beyond what the filings themselves disclose. Respect rate limits.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wish Machine, Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including trading losses, arising from use of the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, where the company operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email to account holders before they take effect.
