Terms of service

Last updated August 2026.

Note: this is a plain-language placeholder written by the founder, not by counsel. It will be replaced with a reviewed version before any paid account is opened.

What this service is

ThirdLatent resolves public filings from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission into relationships between companies, people and institutions, and makes those relationships queryable. We provide data and tooling. We do not provide investment advice, and nothing delivered through this service is a recommendation to buy or sell any security.

Accuracy

Source documents are public and we link to them so you can check any claim yourself. We make no warranty that the data is complete, current or free of error. Filings are amended, entities are resolved imperfectly, and coverage has boundaries — which we state on results rather than hide.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping API keys confidential and for activity under your account. Do not resell or redistribute bulk output without a written agreement.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to violate securities law, to harass anyone, or to attempt to re-identify individuals beyond what the filings themselves disclose. Respect rate limits.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ThirdLatent is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including trading losses, arising from use of the service.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email to account holders before they take effect.
